In 2005 we made the decision to put wool at the heart of our fabric development. Wool is one of the oldest natural fibres known to man and has a long relationship with seafarers the world over.
Our vision was to produce superfine Merino wool products right here in the UK. After three years of searching we met Lesley Prior, the saviour of the last 28 Bowmont Merino sheep on the planet. From her farm in Devon she’s now reared the flock to over 250 sheep and together we’ve sheared over 700kgs of superfine Merino wool. Working with some of the oldest manufacturers in the land, this has since been spun and made into an exclusive Fair Isle collection of knitwear.
