Bearing a big box of cakes, Hickory Nines man Cai blew into the Finisterre workshop yesterday to chew some fat over the forthcoming, Finisterre-backed 'Cruel & Curious Sea II' art exhibition near Bude in North Cornwall. The 2nd event of its kind, the show takes a distinctly lesser acknowledged line on the sea and coast: think sinking ships; cold, stormy waters and monsters from the deep...

It's held over two evenings on the last weekend of September in the 18th century environs of Stowe Barton, a National Trust property set high on the cliffs above the North Cornish sea. It features photographers & artists such as Karl Mackie, the Scott brothers (Daniel & Fred), Danni Bradford, Robbie Jones and many more. Last year was an unparalleled success - with the addition of a Rum & Ale bar, fresh seafood chowder and several new areas and artists, we've no doubt that this year will be a triumph also.

It's free to get in, and is held on the evenings of the 26th & 27th of September, from 5:30pm-9:30pm. We'll be there too - join us for a warming shot of rum at the bar.
