Back in 2007, two Australian skateboarders dropped their boards in Kabul. No sooner had the decks hit the ground, kids surrounded them with eager faces and a hope of learning to skate. Three years later, an all-inclusive skate park and educational facility have been built, allowing children from all walks to get their hands on a 7ply maple deck, some trucks and wheels and skate their hearts out.

Sophie, a designer/skater turned social volunteer, got in touch with us a couple of years ago saying she was jumping on board with Skateistan and needed some gear and we just had to help. Sophie’s been out there stoking up the kids on skating, blogging and getting us all fired up with the occasional photo worth more than a thousand words.
