‘Beef or Salmon’ is an impressionist film maker’s portrayal of the relationship between ground breaking Cornish brand Finisterre and their first ambassador, Carlos Burle - one of the world’s top big wave surfers.

St. Agnes based Greg Robinson would like to introduce a feature documentary, a few months in the making. The documentary examines the reasons why Carlos has teamed up with Finisterre as well as getting inside the mind of one of the world’s leading big wave surfers. The film was shot over the last month or so when Carlos was with Finisterre on a recent ‘Cold Water Frontiers’ trip to Ireland, scoring one the heaviest waves in Northern Europe.

Writer/Director/Producer Greg Robinson crafted one of the most revealing and transparent surf documentaries in ages. Considered a diamond in the rough and one of great humility, ‘I think I like it, it’s different, the piece although brief, touches on more than just waves and a punk band playing in the background. My approach with all of my work is to always focus on the simple things, the raw and bare realities of the story’.

The film focuses on the existence of a small but groundbreaking brand Finisterre. It touches on their reasons for their being, the trials and tribulations of a small surf brand taking the road less traveled, and the intimate relationship with one of the greatest big wave surfers and their only ambassador, Carlos Burle.

The Film does not only illustrate the revolution of a modern day brand fighting for existence, but it will allow, for only a brief moment, those from the outside to taste the inspiration in the relationship between Finisterre and Carlos Burle.
